Filtering with media filters, also known as depth filtration, is done by filtering water through a thick layer of graded particles, called the filter bed. These particles can be sand, gravel or other granular materials. The filtration degree depends on the effective size of the bedding and the water velocity through the filter.
Our offering is tailored to customer requirements and includes a wide range of bed types, gravel filtration media (volcanic/basalt gravel No.1), various sizes of sand grades, gravel, activated carbon, anthracite, basalt and AFM – activated filter media.
Sand media filtration is the oldest filtration process in the world, and until today one of the most efficient. Amiad’s advanced systems’ are designed for optimal water distribution during filtering and backwashing.
Our solutions are designed for either manual or automatic operation, for single vessels or multiple units, manifolded for complete filtration solutions.
